Full Moon Friday Night Hike

About This Event

Enjoy the evening air and listen for nocturnal animals during a guided hike after dark. Pre-registration required.

What to Expect

• 1.Pre-register and arrive a bit early to check in with the guide at the trailhead and get placed with your group. The guide will outline the route and safety guidelines before you start.
• 2.Wear sturdy closed toe shoes and bring a headlamp or flashlight because the park trails will be dim after dark.
• 3.Bring water and insect repellent; July evenings can be buggy and you may be out for the full hour.
• 4.Stay with the group and listen for wildlife while keeping noise to a minimum; the guide will point out nocturnal animals but you might not see much.
• 5.Park near the trailhead and plan to use facilities before you start; after the hike you'll head back to your car in the same area.
