Full Moon Friday Night Hike
About this event
Guided night hike through Heritage Park to listen for nocturnal animals and observe the night sky. Pre-registration required.
What to Expect
- 1.You'll walk a dimly lit park trail at night, listening for owls and other nocturnal animals while the guide points out stars and keeps you on safe paths. The pace is relaxed and you can ask questions along the way.
- 2.Expect a small, respectful group vibe rather than a party atmosphere; you may chat with the guide and a few fellow hikers but keep noise down to avoid disturbing wildlife.
- 3.Pre-registration is required, so arrive 15 minutes early for check in. There is no food service on the route, so bring water and dress in layers for cool evening temperatures.
- 4.Wear sturdy shoes and long pants; bring a headlamp or flashlight and set it to red mode if possible to protect night vision and wildlife.
- 5.This hike is beginner friendly for first timers; if you need to pause, tell the guide and you can rejoin when ready or head back at the designated turn back point.
