Celebrate the DNR's Free Fishing Weekend with fishing, crafts, and prizes. Equipment and bait provided while supplies last. Pre-registration required.
What to Expect
- 1.Get there a bit early to check in, confirm your preregistration, and grab any provided gear before supplies run out.
- 2.Even though equipment and bait are provided while supplies last, bring water and a snack in case you want a break between fishing and crafts.
- 3.Kids will have a dedicated crafts area and there are prizes—keep an eye on the schedule so you don’t miss the fun activities.
- 4.Parking at Marshbank Park can fill up, so consider arriving early or carpooling and follow posted parking instructions.
- 5.Dress for outdoors: sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes, and insect repellent; layer up for cool morning temps.
