About This Event

The groundbreaking musical that turns the story of the American Revolution into a mesmerizing hip-hop opera.

What to Expect

• 1.Expect a high-energy, hip-hop Broadway score with rapid-fire verses and big anthems; it’s largely sung through, so following the lyrics helps you stay with the storyline.
• 2.For the best view, center orchestra or front mezzanine seats are ideal; Fisher Theatre’s pro-level setup means clear sightlines if you pick middle seats.
• 3.Plan to arrive early to park or organize rideshare—downtown Detroit parking can fill up on show nights, and you’ll want time for a quick pre-show bite nearby.
• 4.There’s about a 15-minute intermission in the middle of the show; use it for a restroom break, a stretch, and a quick refill, but be mindful of lines during peak times.
• 5.Turn off or silence your phone and avoid recording; check the venue’s bag policy in advance and take advantage of any accessibility options if needed.
