Houdini in Detroit

About This Event

Harry Houdini performed in Detroit 19 times between 1894 and 1926. Jeremy Dimick takes us on a tour of Houdini's Detroit and discover the macabre link between the city and history.

What to Expect

• 1.Expect a history-focused look at Houdini's Detroit appearances and the city's darker historical connections, rather than a magic show.
• 2.Since the program is described as a tour, wear comfortable shoes and be ready to move around the historic village.
• 3.Arrive a little early so you can find the meeting point and settle in before the 7 p.m. start.
• 4.Bring a layer in case part of the tour is outdoors, and check with the organizers if you need details about accessibility or the route.
• 5.This is an easy event to attend solo: the historical subject gives you something to focus on, and questions can wait until the discussion.
