House & Garden Show

About This Event

Explore art, history, and hands-on fun with live pottery demos, artist showcases, music, food trucks, and a courtyard biergarten.

What to Expect

• 1.You’ll catch live pottery demos and artist showcases up close—watch wheel throwing, glazing, and the studio techniques Pewabic is known for, and if a booth offers it, try a quick hands-on moment.
• 2.The crowd will be artsy but friendly; mingle between demos, and swing by the courtyard biergarten for a cold drink and snacks between showcases.
• 3.Parking around Pewabic can be tight in Detroit, so consider rideshare or public transit and give yourself a bit of extra time to stroll the galleries.
• 4.Food trucks and the biergarten mean you’ll want to pace your day—grab a bite, but don’t miss the live music sets that might pop up in the courtyard.
• 5.Bring a tote or protective bag if you plan to buy ceramics, and chat with artists about materials—it's a makers’ event, so questions pay off.
