Juneteenth Celebration

About This Event

The City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division presents a Juneteenth Celebration at The Hawk Mainstage.

What to Expect

• 1.Plan to arrive a bit early for parking and to snag a seat; the Hawk Mainstage event usually begins around 7 PM, so give yourself time to find your spot.
• 2.Expect a mix of performances—music, dance, and spoken word—that celebrate Juneteenth; you’ll likely encounter storytelling moments and opportunities to learn lineage and history.
• 3.Concessions or vendors may be on site or nearby, so bring some cash or a card and stay hydrated throughout the evening.
• 4.Parking can fill up, especially at a community center; consider carpooling or arriving early to avoid a rush and to ensure you’re close to the main entrance.
• 5.If you’re new to Juneteenth or to The Hawk, talk to on-site volunteers for tips on the schedule and any educational segments or activities that run alongside the performances.
