- 1.You'll get hands-on fishing practice at the Founders Fishing Pier with kid-friendly gear and helpers showing you the basics of casting and knot-tying.
- 2.Expect a family-friendly, relaxed crowd with plenty of kids and parents; volunteers will roam to help kids and keep things moving.
- 3.Bring water and snacks for your kid, and plan for outdoor sun; wear hats and sunscreen.
- 4.Plan to arrive a little early for check-in and parking, since the pier is in a busy park; bring your pre-registration confirmation.
- 5.For first-timers, if your child is shy, pair with a helper or make a quick introduction with staff; it's okay to take breaks and rotate through stations.
