What to Expect

• 1.Wear sturdy shoes with good grip, since lakeside trails can be uneven and harder to see after dark.
• 2.Bring a small flashlight or headlamp, but keep it pointed at the trail so you do not shine it in other hikers' eyes.
• 3.Arrive a little early to park, check in, and get oriented before the 6 p.m. start; the event runs into full darkness.
