Log Cabin Day

About This Event

Annual celebration of the historic log cabin in Palmer Park with tours and activities.

What to Expect

• 1.Get there a bit early to join the first cabin tour; the schedule is posted at the cabin and at the park entrance.
• 2.Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring water; the grounds can be uneven and you’ll be on your feet for a while.
• 3.Bring sunscreen and a hat since it’s a daytime outdoor event in Detroit.
• 4.Look out for family-friendly activities and demonstrations—there are kid-focused programs and crafts to check out.
• 5.Parking can fill up, so consider arriving by public transit or carpool and follow park signage to the designated lots.
