Lyon Township International Kite Festival

About This Event

A family-friendly festival featuring professional kite flyers, kids' activities, and more.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to catch the pro kite demos and grab a grassy viewing spot among the open fields; wind can shift quickly, so early sightlines beat the chaos later.
• 2.Head straight to the kids’ activities to gauge the schedule and let the little ones burn energy; watch for kite-string safety around the activity zones.
• 3.Plan for food and drinks from vendor booths and bring a refillable bottle; shade might be limited, so sunscreen and hats are a must.
• 4.Parking is first-come, first-served—carpool if you can and give yourself extra time to get in and out of the park.
• 5.Dress for outdoors: comfy shoes, lightweight layers for gusts, and secure bags so nothing gets blown away.
