Maple Syrup Time
About this event
A guided tour through the sugar bush to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages.
What to Expect
- 1.The guided tour runs 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, so arrive a little early to check in at Stage Nature Center and get oriented before you head to the sugar bush.
- 2.March in Michigan can be chilly and muddy, so dress in layers and bring a light rain jacket or hat.
- 3.Trails can be uneven; wear waterproof shoes and plan for occasional mud or soft footing along the way.
- 4.You'll learn about tapping, sugar making, and historical harvesting methods—bring questions if you’re curious about maple culture.
- 5.Parking is on-site at Stage Nature Center; expect a short walk from the lot to the sugar bush and use the center restrooms before or after the tour.
