Weekly gardening day hosted by the Meadow Brook Garden Club.
What to Expect
- 1.You'll be doing hands on garden work in Meadow Brook Hall's grounds. Tasks vary day to day, from weeding to planting and mulching. Follow the group lead and ask for a starter task if you are unsure.
- 2.The crowd is friendly and low stakes, made up of neighbors and garden enthusiasts who like to chat while they work.
- 3.Dress for sun and dirt: sturdy closed toe shoes, long sleeves if you burn easily, hat and sunscreen. Tools may be provided but bring your own gloves if you have them.
- 4.Parking is on site at Meadow Brook Hall; plan to arrive a few minutes early and check in at the garden volunteer area.
- 5.If you are new, say hi to the organizer and you will be guided to beginner tasks; this is a welcoming environment for beginners.
