The City of Novi's annual Memorial Day parade starting at Memorial Commons and ending at the Civic Center.
What to Expect
- 1.Arrive early to snag a good curb spot along the parade route from Memorial Commons to the Novi Civic Center; streets will close and parking fills up fast, so aim for 30–45 minutes beforehand and use nearby lots.
- 2.Expect a classic small-town Memorial Day lineup: veterans groups, color guards, local bands, school groups, and community orgs marching by with plenty of flags and banners.
- 3.It’s very family-friendly and crowd-driven—kids tend to collect candy or pins, so bring a bag and watch for enthusiasm from volunteers.
- 4.Dress for weather and comfort: it’ll be outdoors in late spring, so bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and sturdy shoes for a longer walk along the route.
- 5.After the procession finishes at the Civic Center, check for a short ceremony or post-event activities; parking in the area can be busy, so plan your departure accordingly.
