Memorial Day Parade

About This Event

A hometown tradition honoring heroes, featuring local businesses, community organizations, and civic groups marching in remembrance.

What to Expect

• 1.Arrive early to grab a spot along the parade route; downtown Walled Lake can fill up fast, especially near the reviewing area, and there are street closures in the morning.
• 2.You'll see veterans, color guards, school bands, and local businesses marching or riding floats—bring a camera and expect a family-friendly, hometown vibe.
• 3.If you want to sit, bring a compact chair or a blanket; otherwise be prepared to stand along the curb for the full hour.
• 4.Parking can be tight, so consider side streets or rideshares and give yourself extra time to reach the route.
• 5.Keep kids close to the curb, watch for moving floats, and plan a quick post-parade stroll to support nearby shops for a snack or drink.
