Michigan State Fair 2026
About this event
Final day of the Michigan State Fair on Labor Day.
What to Expect
- 1.You'll see farm exhibits, livestock demos, rides, games and a sea of vendor booths across the ShowPlace campus. Map out 3 must see attractions and hit them early to beat the Labor Day crowds.
- 2.The crowd will be upbeat and family friendly, with plenty of people to chat with if you want but you can also float solo and take it slow.
- 3.Food lines can be long for classic fair fare like fried goodies and corn dogs, so pick a couple must tries and share to taste more without overdoing it.
- 4.Parking and getting around on a holiday can take longer than you expect, so plan to arrive early, use the main lot if you can, and have a lightweight plan for moving between indoors and outdoors.
- 5.For first timers, bring a charged phone and a portable charger, carry both cash and card, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a small bag plus a downloaded map to avoid backtracking.
