Music Tech Concert
About this event
Discover the innovative work of Oakland University’s Music Technology students in this dynamic showcase of original compositions, sound design, and multimedia projects. The Music Tech Concert...
What to Expect
- 1.Arrive a bit early to park and find Varner Hall—the campus can be busy and parking lots fill up around program start times.
- 2.The program will feature original music, sound design, and multimedia work by Oakland University’s Music Technology students, so expect a mix of live electronics, small ensembles, and video projections; pieces will vary in length, so stay for the whole show if you can.
- 3.Seating and sightlines can vary in university performance spaces, so get there a little early to secure good seats; if you need accessibility seating, check in with staff on arrival.
- 4.Bring a notebook or mental notes to track what gear or software the students are using and what you found most interesting, then ask questions after the performance if there’s time.
- 5.This is a student showcase, so the crowd will be supportive and casual—don’t be afraid to mingle with the performers afterward to learn more about the projects and the music tech program.
