A household hazardous waste collection event for residents of participating NoHaz communities.
What to Expect
- 1.Drive up to the drop-off lane at the Oakland County Information Technology Department and follow the staff directions. Have your residency proof handy and keep hazardous materials in their original containers so staff can identify them quickly.
- 2.This is a drive-through drop-off with clear staff guidance; you unload and they take care of disposal.
- 3.Arrive within the 8 am to 2 pm window to avoid any backup and follow posted signs for parking and the drop-off route.
- 4.Bring proof of residence if asked, keep items separated by type, and leave them in their original containers with labels intact to help staff sort safely.
- 5.If you are a first timer, you can go alone, there is minimal social pressure, and staff are there to help you through the process so you can finish quickly.
