OCDP Postcard Writing Party

About This Event

Join the Oakland County Democratic Party to write, connect, and reach Michigan voters ahead of Election Day.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll write postcards to Michigan voters, likely using prompts or guidance from the organizers. Bring your own pens if you have favorites, but check with the event host about supplies.
• 2.The activity gives you something to focus on, so conversation can happen naturally without needing to make small talk the whole time.
• 3.Expect a civic-minded crowd volunteering around a shared goal. You can usually settle in and write at your own pace.
• 4.It's a three-hour event, so plan for a stretch of seated writing. Bring water and any snacks you'll want, since food and drink details aren't provided.
• 5.The venue is on West 12 Mile Road in Southfield. Check parking and entrance instructions with the organizers before you go, especially if you haven't visited the association hall before.
