Open Mic Night

About This Event

Weekly open mic night featuring local and aspiring comedians.

What to Expect

• 1.Get there early to sign up for a performing slot if you’re thinking of trying an act, and pick a center seat so you don’t miss the host’s announcements.
• 2.Expect a mixed bag of acts—polished comics and first-timers—so bring your patience and clap for everyone to keep the energy up.
• 3.Bring cash for drinks and tips; the bar gets busy, and tips go a long way for the performers.
• 4.Respect the room: keep your phone silent, don’t heckle or derail the mic, and give each comedian a fair listen.
• 5.If you’re new to open mics, watch a few sets first to understand crowd rhythm before you consider stepping on stage; the vibe at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle can swing from laid-back to energetic.
