Orchestra Noir: Hip-Hop and R&B Classics

About This Event

An all-black orchestra performing hip-hop and R&B classics with a full symphonic arrangement.

What to Expect

• 1.You're in for a bold fusion: a full string and brass section backing hip-hop and R&B classics. Listen for reimagined melodies and unexpected instrumental solos.
• 2.The crowd is diverse but generally respectful and here for the music; expect moments of nodding along and full-on energy during the bigger crescendos.
• 3.Arrive early to park and find your seat at The Fillmore Detroit on Woodward Ave; traffic in that area can be tight around showtime.
• 4.Concessions and a bar are on site—consider grabbing a drink before the lights go down or during intermission.
• 5.The venue offers accessibility seating and services; if you need accommodations, check the box office ahead of time so you’re set.
