Pontiac 100th Anniversary Parade

About This Event

A grand parade celebrating the 100th anniversary of the city of Pontiac.

What to Expect

• 1.Get there early to grab a good viewing spot along the Downtown Pontiac parade route, parking can be tight so plan to arrive 30–60 minutes before start.
• 2.You’ll see a mix of local marching bands, school groups, floats from community organizations, and civic contingents—classic small-city parade energy.
• 3.It’ll be a sun-soaked late-morning event, so bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes; a small camping chair or blanket helps if you find a spot to sit.
• 4.Food options will pop up along the route and in nearby downtown spots, but lines can get long—consider grabbing a bite before or after the parade rather than during peak moments.
• 5.Be prepared for street closures and pedestrian-heavy crowds; give yourself extra time for transit, parking, and keeping an eye on kids or belongings.
