Public Accuracy Test for Election Equipment

About This Event

Public testing of election equipment to ensure accuracy for the upcoming election.

What to Expect

• 1.When you go to Wixom City Hall you will likely watch a step by step test of the election equipment in a meeting room or public area, it feels procedural rather than a show and staff will explain what they are doing as they go. There is usually a quiet, orderly atmosphere with clear signage and staff guiding attendees, so you can attend solo without the pressure to mingle. Parking around the city hall can be tight on a weekday, so plan to arrive early and use nearby lots or street parking if available.
• 2.The event is not a casual event so please dress in comfortable casual clothing but keep it respectful since you are in a government building. There may be a short Q and A at the end so bring questions if you have them and a notepad to jot notes for later reference.
• 3.Plan for 30 to 60 minutes starting at 10 am and know that you may need to go through building security or check in at a front desk; previews and directions will be posted in the building.
• 4.If you are curious about the methods used to ensure accuracy, stay after the demonstration to ask staff questions or look for any printed materials about the process. Bring a pen and your own curiosity for how these tests are performed and what results look like.
• 5.There may be limited seating or a specific path to follow, so listen for directions from staff and move through the space at a comfortable pace while you observe the equipment tests.
