What to Expect

• 1.Arrive a bit early and grab a name badge at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel so you’re not sprinting for conversations as the crowd arrives.
• 2.Have a tight 20- to 30-second elevator pitch ready that explains who you are, what you do, and what you’re hoping to accomplish from the network.
• 3.Bring plenty of business cards or a quick way to exchange digital contact info (LinkedIn QR or email) so follow-ups aren’t a hassle.
• 4.Dress business casual and be prepared for a hotel lobby/meeting-floor setting—layers help if the room is cool and you’ll move around a lot.
• 5.After you meet someone, jot down a quick note about the convo and follow up within 24–48 hours to keep the connection warm.
