Shen Yun

About This Event

A brilliant artistic revival and celebration of China's rich cultural heritage through classical Chinese dance, stunning costumes, and a unique orchestra.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll see a series of classical Chinese dance pieces performed live with a traditional orchestra, plus stunning costumes and expressive storytelling.
• 2.The Detroit Opera House's stage and acoustics make the footwork and movements feel closer—center-orchestra seats are ideal for the best view.
• 3.Plan for about two to three hours total with an intermission; the program flows between numbers rather than a narrated show.
• 4.Parking around Broadway in downtown Detroit can fill up fast—arrive early and consider nearby eateries for a pre-show bite.
• 5.No recording during the performance; silence your phone and enjoy the live music, color, and choreography.
