A sweet intergenerational event for kids and older adults to decorate strawberry shortcakes, play games, and create crafts.
What to Expect
- 1.Arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in and map out which decorating stations you want to hit with your kid/grandparent team.
- 2.You'll move between strawberry shortcake decorating, simple crafts, and quick games—keep a loose plan but stay flexible so both kids and seniors can join in.
- 3.This is an especially friendly, intergenerational crowd, so say hi to neighbors and volunteers and swap tips for making the activities easier for younger kids.
- 4.Expect a bit of mess and plenty of sweetness—dress for a spill or two and bring a small bag or tote for finished crafts so you don’t lose anything.
- 5.Parking and access are at the Connect venue on West 14 Mile Road; if you’re local, consider carpooling and arrive a bit early to secure a good spot.
