A summer carillon concert series featuring guest carilloneurs. This performance features David Hunsberger.
What to Expect
- 1.Plan to arrive a bit early to snag a good seat near the carillon tower; if there are no reserved seats, bring a blanket or a compact chair and sit where you can hear clearly.
- 2.Take a moment to listen for the layering of bell voices as the piece unfolds; you don t need prior carillon knowledge to enjoy the performance.
- 3.Pack water and sunscreen in case it s warm at 6 pm, and be prepared for cooler air once the sun goes down.
- 4.Parking on campus can be limited around 5:30 pm, so give yourself extra time and use campus lots near Elliott Tower.
- 5.If you re new to carillon concerts, the program notes or a short introduction may hint at the instrument s quirks; it s a friendly setting and most folks are there to listen, not to be performance critics.
