A night of Southern Soul music on the Detroit riverfront.
What to Expect
- 1.Get there early to snag a good spot and enjoy the riverfront sunset before the show starts. The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre is an open air venue so you'll feel the evening air and get a great view of the Detroit river.
- 2.Southern Soul crowds are friendly but you still might want to keep to yourself; dress for warm evenings and bring a light layer for later.
- 3.Concessions on site offer Southern staples so you don't have to bring a full picnic; bring a small clear bag if you want to carry essentials and check bag policies to speed security.
- 4.As a solo attendee, chat with neighbors during intermissions if you feel social, but you can also soak in the music and people-watch.
