Sing your heart out with a live band during Welcome Week at Oakland University.
What to Expect
- 1.Sign up to grab a turn and sing with a live band backing you on a small stage in Oak View Hall, so pick a song you know and practice the chorus beforehand.
- 2.The Welcome Week crowd will be hype and supportive, so even if your first go isnt perfect you'll get loud encouragement from classmates and staff.
- 3.Oak View Hall is a campus venue with nearby campus eateries, so plan to grab a bite or a drink before or after since full catering onsite isn't guaranteed.
- 4.Get there a bit early to find the signup line, scope the stage area, and figure out where you'll perform in the room so you arent scrambling at the last minute.
- 5.If you're new to karaoke with a live band, start with a familiar, short track and have a backup ready in case the first song runs long.
