About this event
Part of Oakland University's Welcome Week, this event celebrates the start of the new school year for students.
What to Expect
- 1.Check in at North Foundation Hall and grab a quick welcome badge, then settle in for short remarks before a cluster of student services and club tables light up the room.
- 2.The crowd is a mix of new and returning students, so you can wander between booths or chat with someone nearby if you want to but there isn't pressure to mingle nonstop.
- 3.There will be light snacks and beverages during the event, but lines can get long around peak times, so consider grabbing a bite during a lull or right after the main program.
- 4.Parking is first-come, first-served around the North Foundation Hall area, so give yourself 10-15 minutes to park and walk in before 11. If you can, arrive a bit early to scope the hall and plan which tables you want to hit.
- 5.If you're new to campus, have a ready one-liner to introduce yourself, then swing by student organization tables to find a group that fits your interests. If crowds feel overwhelming, take a short breather outside or near the lobby before diving back in.
