What to Expect
- 1.This is an immersive trial experience—don’t be surprised if you’re drawn into the proceedings and asked to participate. Expect real-time interactions rather than a passive watch, and stay attentive to cast directions.
- 2.The crowd tends to be engaged but friendly; you can choose to watch from the back if you’d rather observe rather than join in.
- 3.Venue logistics: Gem Theatre Detroit is downtown; park on Madison Street or use nearby garages. Doors usually open before showtime, so plan to arrive a bit early to settle in.
- 4.Food and drink: plan a meal before or after the performance, and check whether the venue has concessions. Outside food may be restricted, so verify any restrictions ahead of time.
- 5.First-timers: if you’re asked to participate, speak clearly and follow the cast’s prompts. If you’d rather stay in a spectator role, tell a staff member ahead of time so they can accommodate you.
