The Sound of Music

About This Event

The beloved Broadway musical production of The Sound of Music.

What to Expect

• 1.Doors usually open about 60 minutes before the performance, so plan to arrive early to find your seats and settle in without rushing.
• 2.The Fox Theatre in Detroit is a historic, ornate venue with multiple seating levels, so know your view and chair location in advance if you can and request accessible seating if needed.
• 3.Dress is generally casual to smart casual here, but a light jacket helps in the air-conditioned theatre and over the grand interior.
• 4.Most musicals run around 2.5 to 3 hours with an intermission, so budget a little extra time for restrooms and concessions.
• 5.Concessions and programs are available—consider grabbing a snack or a drink during intermission, and remember to keep phones silenced and photography to a minimum during the show.
