Tosca

About This Event

Giacomo Puccini's classic opera performance at the Detroit Opera House.

What to Expect

• 1.This is a full-length opera, so plan to stay for the performance and arrive early enough to find your seat before it begins.
• 2.The story is dramatic and the singing is in Italian. Check the production details for surtitles, and follow those rather than trying to catch every word.
• 3.Dress is usually a mix of smart casual and formal; wear something comfortable for sitting through a long performance.
• 4.The Opera House is downtown, so check parking and traffic near Broadway Street ahead of time, especially on a busy evening.
• 5.If this is your first opera, read a short plot summary beforehand. It makes the shifting alliances and big emotional turns easier to follow.
