What to Expect
- 1.You'll walk a grid of hundreds of artist tents along downtown Ann Arbor's Main Street, checking out paintings, sculptures, and handmade goods. There will be live music between booths and plenty of food trucks along the route.
- 2.The crowd is busy but casual, so you can roam at your own pace, but be prepared for lines at popular booths and near the stages.
- 3.Food and drink come from a mix of food trucks and local vendors; bring cash for smaller booths, though many accept cards too. If a line looks long, skip to the next block and you can still find great pieces.
- 4.Logistics can be tricky downtown in July, so plan for heat and sun; wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen, water, and a reusable bag.
- 5.For first timers, map a route but stay flexible for surprise finds; chat briefly with artists if you want to learn about their process, but you can also just enjoy the stroll.
