What to Expect

• 1.You'll observe the Moon and constellations with guidance from Professor Ilias Cholis, so expect a mix of looking through equipment and learning what you're seeing.
• 2.Clouds can make or limit the observing, so check for event updates and be ready for the outdoor portion to change with the weather.
• 3.Bring a warm layer. Evenings in Michigan can feel chilly when you're standing outside, especially in October.
• 4.Arrive a little early to find the group and get oriented on campus. Give yourself extra time if you're unfamiliar with Oakland University.
• 5.If you want to spot fainter stars, avoid staring at bright phone screens; dim your display and give your eyes time to adjust to the dark.
