Bunnyville
About this event
The second day of the Detroit Zoo's annual Bunnyville event with family-friendly activities and egg hunts.
What to Expect
- 1.Get there early and park in the main lot; the Zoo fills up on busy days and Bunnyville opens at 9, so grab a map at the gate and check the egg-hunt times so you don’t miss the kids’ activities.
- 2.Bring a lightweight basket or bag for eggs and goodies; there are several egg-hunt stations around the Zoo, so keep an eye on the Bunnyville signs to collect everything.
- 3.Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes—the Detroit Zoo is mostly outdoors and April in Michigan can swing from chilly to sunny.
- 4.Pack water and light snacks and plan for breaks; use shaded benches or kid-friendly cafes between exhibits to beat crowds.
- 5.For first-timers, pick a couple kid-friendly exhibits along the Bunnyville route and ask staff or volunteers where the main Bunnyville activities are located so you don’t get overwhelmed.
