College Planning Session for Middle and High School Parents
About this event
An educational session designed to help parents of middle and high school students navigate the college planning process.
What to Expect
- 1.You'll be in a library meeting room at the Troy Public Library listening to a presenter cover college timelines, FAFSA basics, and financial aid options. Expect a mix of slides and printed handouts you can take home.
- 2.The session is mostly informational with a Q and A optional, so you can just listen and take notes if you want.
- 3.Plan for no big meals in the room; bring water and grab coffee before or after if allowed by the library.
- 4.Arrive a bit early to park and find the correct room, and bring something to take notes.
- 5.For first timers, write down your child's goals and timelines, ask about FAFSA and state deadlines, and see if slides or resources will be posted afterward.
