What to Expect
- 1.Expect a mixed bag of language levels. Use open-ended questions to keep conversations flowing and give everyone a chance to speak.
- 2.Bring a small notebook to jot down new vocabulary and phrases you overhear or struggle with so you can review later.
- 3.Grab a coffee or drink at the start and find a comfy spot to chat; if it gets crowded, rotate partners to meet more people.
- 4.If you’re new, arrive 5-10 minutes early so you can meet the facilitator, get settled, and buddy up with another learner.
- 5.Remember to keep it casual and patient—growth happens through repeated, friendly practice and listening to others.
