What to Expect
- 1.Check you’re at the Farmington Hills location and go to Conference Room A; the library has two campuses, so confirm the address on your event page or ask staff if you’re unsure.
- 2.No library card is required to attend; bring a notebook or a small dictionary to jot down new words as you go.
- 3.Arrive a little early to meet the facilitator and other learners and get comfortable with the group; introductions and topic prompts usually happen first.
- 4.You’ll be asked to speak a bit, but you can start with simple sentences and build from there—don’t worry about mistakes.
- 5.Keep your voice and questions respectful in the library setting; expect a calm, supportive vibe, with prompts to practice everyday English.
- 6.Afterward, ask library staff about other ESL resources or additional conversation groups that might fit your level.
