What to Expect
- 1.Get there a little early to locate Conference Room A and introduce yourself to the facilitator; the program is free to the public and no library card is required.
- 2.Bring a notebook or phone to jot down new phrases and notes from prompts so you have something concrete to practice afterward.
- 3.Expect a friendly, low-pressure vibe with participants at various levels; don’t worry about mistakes—ask for clarification and repeat what you hear if needed.
- 4.Parking at the Farmington Hills location is usually straightforward; follow library signage to Conference Room A and bring a light layer in case the room is chilly in the evening.
- 5.Have a couple simple topics ready (weekend plans, hobbies) to break the ice; if you’re shy, sit toward the back and ease into conversations as you gain confidence.
