Assistance with family history research provided by the Historical Commission.
What to Expect
- 1.Bring any notes, family names, dates, and places you already have so the librarian can tailor the session to your brick walls.
- 2.Ask about the Novi Public Library's genealogical resources and local history materials, and how to access them during your session.
- 3.Go in with a plan or a couple of focused questions to make the most of the two-hour slot.
- 4.Take notes and consider bringing a laptop or notebook to capture new leads; ask if you can save scans or copies to a USB drive.
- 5.Arrive a few minutes early to check in and clarify next steps or scheduling a follow-up if you want longer-term research help.
