Greenfest

About This Event

A celebration of environmental action for southeast Michigan featuring educational activities and zoo exhibits.

What to Expect

• 1.Plan your route using the zoo map or event app and sign up early for any interactive education stations or demos—it fills up fast.
• 2.Brace for a family-friendly, active crowd with kids and groups; pace yourself and give extra time to see the exhibits.
• 3.Dress for the outdoors in Michigan weather: comfortable shoes, layered clothing, sunscreen, and a light rain jacket in case of showers.
• 4.Bring a refillable water bottle and a small bag; there are water stations around the park and a focus on minimizing single-use waste.
• 5.Check ahead for schedule signs at animal exhibits and activity booths so you don’t miss kid-friendly activities or eco talks, and plan a few snack/meal breaks at the zoo’s eateries.
