Makerspace workshop at The Hawk focusing on laser cutting and engraving techniques for participants aged 16+.

What to Expect

• 1.Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to sign in and catch any safety briefing before the laser work starts.
• 2.Dress for a hands-on workshop: wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and use the safety glasses provided.
• 3.If you have a design in mind, bring it on a USB drive or have it ready to load into the software so you can cut or engrave during the session.
• 4.Double check the allowed materials list before you bring anything to the space; lasers sometimes have restrictions on certain plastics or coatings.
• 5.The Hawk is a community center so parking and building access can vary; give yourself extra time and be prepared for a busy lobby.
