Learn To Play American Mah Jongg

About This Event

lesson event at Bam Good Time

What to Expect

• 1.Plan to arrive about 10-15 minutes early to check in and get settled before the 6 pm start. The class is small and hands-on, so arriving early helps you grab a seat and catch any quick notes.
• 2.The pace is beginner-friendly; expect the instructor to demo a few basic hands, then you’ll practice with a partner or small group.
• 3.Tiles and basic racks are usually provided, but confirm whether you should bring your own set or starter card; bringing a notebook to jot down terms helps reinforce what you learn.
• 4.Parking on Pierce Street in Birmingham is common; give yourself time for street parking or nearby lots, and if you’re unsure, arrive a bit early to scout the best option.
• 5.After the lesson, there’s often informal practice or Q&A with the group, so stick around a bit to pick up tips and meet fellow players.
