About this event
Cultural festivities featuring a parade with traditional lion and dragon dances, arts and crafts, and musical performances by a Chinese orchestra.
What to Expect
- 1.The festival runs 12:00–20:00 at Valade Park, so plan to catch the parade, lion and dragon dances, and the Chinese orchestra performances across the day.
- 2.Open-air setting means dress warm and wear comfy shoes; the crowds can get thick around parade routes and stage areas.
- 3.Check out crafts stalls and activity booths—arts and crafts are part of the festival, and some vendors may be cash-only.
- 4.Arrive early to scope out viewing spots and follow the parade route; bring a light blanket or portable chair if you want to sit.
- 5.Take advantage of nearby transit or rideshare and allow extra time for parking and crowd navigation.
