Michigan State Fair

About This Event

The annual Michigan State Fair featuring a huge carnival midway, livestock exhibits, live music, and family entertainment.

What to Expect

• 1.The midway is huge with rides, games, and animal stalls, so give yourself plenty of time to wander before you pick what to ride or see.
• 2.Expect a family friendly, bustling crowd; if you're solo you can still soak up the buzz, but keep an eye on your things in crowded aisles.
• 3.Fair food is everywhere from classic favorites to fried treats; lines can be long at popular vendors, so consider sharing a few items to save time.
• 4.The venue is big so wear comfy shoes, grab a map or download the layout, and plan a rough route to avoid backtracking.
• 5.If you are going solo, arrive early and anchor your day with a couple must see spots like a live music set or the animal exhibits so you have built in talking points.
