- 2.Sign in at the front desk when you arrive and ask where the chess tables are; there’s usually a host or a sign directing you to the club.
- 3.Expect a friendly mix of beginners and regulars; don’t be shy about asking for a quick pairing or a simple coaching tip.
- 4.Keep it quiet and respectful of the library setting; speak softly, pace your moves, and move pieces with care so others can follow.
- 5.If you’re new, look for beginner-friendly partners and note the location: Novi Public Library, 45255 West 10 Mile Road, Novi, MI; parking can be tight after 6 pm, so plan to arrive a little early.
