What to Expect
- 1.Arrive a bit early to snag a seat in the Children's Program Room; the dog-reading slots fill up and folks arrive with kids in tow.
- 2.Your child will take turns reading a short book to a gentle reading dog while library staff supervise the room.
- 3.Bring a short, practice-friendly book for your child; there may be dog-themed picture books or staff can help you pick something suitable.
- 4.Keep your voices child-friendly and quiet inside the room; it’s a calm, supportive environment for new readers.
- 5.Parking at the Farmington Hills library lot is convenient; check in at the Children's Program Room and plan for the listed end time.
