STEM challenges and activities for ages 6-11 to make new friends and learn.
What to Expect
- 1.Expect quick, hands-on STEM challenges at different stations, with librarians guiding each activity—let your kid steer which station to try first and don’t hesitate to ask questions when something’s puzzling.
- 2.The vibe is kid-friendly and low-stress, so arrive a few minutes early to map out stations and buddy up with peers if your child wants company.
- 3.Dress for a little mess since experiments can involve color, slime, or simple circuitry; consider a spare shirt for your kid just in case.
- 4.Attendance is short (about 45 minutes) and pickup is at the front desk; ask staff about any take-home activities to continue learning at home.
- 5.Bring a small notebook or sketch pad to record what your child learns and jot down questions to revisit in future sessions.
