American Speed Festival

About This Event

A celebration of motorsport history and innovation featuring rare classics, modern prototypes, and high-speed demonstration runs.

What to Expect

• 1.You'll see rare classics, modern prototypes, and high speed demonstration runs, so check the schedule for show times. There are multiple display areas and vantage points around M1 Concourse to soak it all in.
• 2.Expect a buzzing car enthusiast crowd; arrive early to snag a good viewing spot and avoid bottlenecks along Woodward. People are friendly, but the energy is high so be ready to share space near the track.
• 3.Food options exist on site with vendors and food trucks, but lines can get long during peak times; bring water and a snack if you want to stay hydrated and avoid queues.
• 4.Plan to park in the main lot or a garage and walk to the concourse; allow extra time for security checks and finding your viewing point; wear comfortable shoes since there can be a lot of walking.
• 5.Dress for weather, bring ear protection, and pick a couple of favorite car types to focus on so you don't feel overwhelmed; use the event map and app if available to locate cars of interest.
